Mount McCrae (1,907m) - BC, Canada - heli-skiing, avalanche

 

Two people died and one was injured in an avalanche that occurred near Mount McCrae on January 23, 2023. The incident happened at around 2:30pm when a small group of people were heli-skiing in the area. Revelstoke RCMP were notified, and all three skiers caught in the avalanche were located and transported via helicopter for emergency medical assistance. Despite efforts to save their lives, the two skiers were unsuccessful. The third skier remains in serious condition at the hospital.
