Panorama, BC, Canada - heliskiing, avalanche

Three people have died and four others have been seriously injured in an avalanche that occurred near the Panorama Mountain Resort in the British Columbia Interior. The group, consisting of nine skiers and a guide, were on a tour with RK Heliski, a local company. The four injured skiers, one of whom was the guide, have been taken to hospital and are expected to survive. The slide came down in an area outside of the Panorama resort's boundaries. The clients were all "foreign nationals," police said, but their guide is Canadian.
